Licensed physical and occupational therapists support safe movement, daily function and participation according to each person's individual care plan.
Nursing & medication reminders
Our pharmacist and nurses follow doctors' orders, remind elders to take medications on time and monitor their condition.
Dietician-planned meals
Breakfast and lunch designed by a dietician with careful attention to nutrition — and to familiar tastes.
Social work support
Social workers and assistants provide counseling, family support and connections to community resources.
Door-to-door transportation
Caring drivers handle transportation to and from the center, so families never have to worry about the trip.

Group dance and stretching encourage safe movement, while karaoke, chess, table games and English lessons support participation, enjoyment and social connection. Activities are adapted to each participant's abilities and individual care plan.

The San Gabriel Valley has welcomed a great wave of Asian immigrants, among them many elders living with long-term illness. Language barriers, transportation difficulties and declining health can leave them feeling helpless. SunnyDay was founded to answer exactly that — helping elders step out of the hospital's helplessness and regain their self-respect.

CBAS is available to adults 18 and older who have applicable Medi-Cal eligibility and who meet CBAS program and medical-necessity criteria. Eligibility and authorization are determined by your Medi-Cal managed care plan or the applicable review process. Having Medi-Cal does not by itself mean a person automatically qualifies.
